Heal the Land Brings Community Together for Labor Day BBQ
Fond du Lac, WI
Labor Day was a day of fellowship, food, and community connection as Heal the Land, a ministry of Bread of Life Cathedral of Hope, hosted a successful Labor Day community event in Fond du Lac.
Led by Kristin Kibler and Alayah Haywood, the event welcomed members of the community for a free BBQ meal featuring burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. More than simply providing a meal, the gathering created an opportunity for neighbors to come together, fellowship, and experience the spirit of community.
The event reflects the heart of Heal the Land's mission: to be intentional about serving the Fond du Lac community, with an additional focus on the Hamilton Park area. Through outdoor pop up events, free meals, fellowship, and opportunities for healing, Heal the Land seeks to build meaningful relationships and make a positive difference in the lives of those it serves.
Following the event, Alayah Haywood expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success:

The success of the Labor Day gathering demonstrates what can happen when people come together with a shared commitment to serve their neighbors. From preparing and serving food to simply showing up and fellowshipping with others, every contribution helped create a welcoming environment for the community.

The work continues in Fond du Lac
Heal the Land is committed to continuing this work throughout Fond du Lac. As a ministry of Bread of Life Cathedral of Hope, its goal is not only to meet immediate needs, but also to bring people together, strengthen relationships, encourage healing, and demonstrate God's love through intentional service.
The Labor Day BBQ was another step toward that vision, and a reminder that sometimes something as simple as a free meal and an open invitation to fellowship can help bring a community closer together.
